is "Window Cut" ?
Window Cut is an A4 sheet of labels that have been produced with a small amount of the face paper and adhesive removed all round the edge of the sheet.
Why have they been made like this ?
"Window Cut" labels assist in trouble free printing in your printer and reduce your printer cleaning and servicing costs. "Window Cut" labels also feed more smoothly through the printer with fewer paper jams and less down time
What is the advantage of "Window Cut" ?
The "Window Cut" feature prevents any adhesive from the edges of the sheet sticking to the rollers in your printer and eventually causing jamming and the need for costly servicing.
How do they do this ?
A4 sheet labels are a sandwich of the labels face paper and the backing sheet with a filling of strong adhesive in the middle. Like all well filled sandwiches the filling is likely to be squeezed out at the edges. The "Window Cut" feature removes all of the adhesive residue from the edges of the A4 sheet.
Handling & storage conditions
To ensure the best results running your "Window Cut" A4 sheets, please be sure to observe the following conditions.
Always condition you sheets in the print area for at least 24 hours before use. Do not store them in cold damp conditions. Do not store them close to radiators or expose them to direct sunlight or fan heaters etc.
Always check your printer manual before using labels and use the printer manufacturers recommended settings for using sheet labels, these are often different from normal sheet printing.
Never use sheet labels that are damaged, creased, dog eared or where any labels have been removed.
